The 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards took place on January 16, 2011 at The Beverly Hilton hotel in Beverly Hills, California. This is a sophisticated event that calls for long gowns. I have compiled the three best and worst dressed at this year's Golden Globe Awards.
For Best Dressed we have Eva Longoria, Sarah Hyland and Emma Stone. Eva Longoria went for a glamorous look with a long, fitted, black Zac Posen gown that features a sexy cutout back. She kept the accessories simple with a black box clutch and over-sized diamond studs. Sarah Hyland looks absolutely gorgeous in this golden Max Azria Atelier gown. As for her accessories, they were not as simple as Eva's. The Modern Family actress wore a 50 karat diamonds and pearls necklace from Mikimoto, Charles David heels and a Daniel Swarovski clutch. Lastly, Emma Stone looked very elegant with her peach Calvin Klein Gown. The color matched her skin tone and hair color perfectly. Btw, congrats to Emma for being nominated for Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical for her work in Easy A.
For Worst Dressed we have January Jones, Helena Boham Carter and Jennifer Love Hewitt. The Mad Men actress, January Jones wore a red floorlength Versace fringed gown. I personally do not like that it is fringed, if it was a different style maybe it would not be so bad.But I do like the cutout detailing of this dress. (After all, cut out fashion is trending!) I think we can all agree that Helena Boham Carter won the award for being The Worst Dressed at the Golden Globes. She wore a multi-colored Vivienne Westwood dress with two different shoes. Last but not least, Jennifer Love Hewitt in my opinion is worst dressed because her dressed looked like a wedding gown and was not right for this occasion. Love Hewitt wore a ivory Romona Keveza gown with a strapless and loose neckline.
