Chic Rooftop Lounge Overlooking Williamsburg, Brooklyn New York

I decided to continue the birthday festivities in my old hometown, New York with some childhood friends. After searching the internet for the best rooftop lounges the big apple has to offer I came across Xanadu at the McCarren Hotel in Brooklyn, New York. Although I am a Queens girl I must say Brooklyn is not what it use to be. Williamsburg is definitely the new hangout spot for the artsy and chill people. Embarrassing Body Hair Stories

Lets take a trip down memory lane. I was a middle school student with very hairy legs and strict parents that did not allow me to shave them. I was told I had to wait until high school to be able to shave my legs. At least I was able to shave my armpits but clearly there was more embarrassing body hair I was worried about. Since my parents only said I was not allowed to shave my legs, I was desperate and brought out the scissors but clearly that wasn't getting rid of the hair. So next step was the tweezers, and yea that was a never ending story, literally.


When I became of age to shave my legs I noticed it would grow back the next day and then of course I started shaving my unmentionables as well. Lets fast forward to college days when I started to explore the world of waxing. My first experience was definitely a traumatizing one as the waxing specialist attempted to pull off the hair on my goodies area all in one try. Yea, ouch ouch ouch. I was pretty much screaming and yes the whole spa heard me, awkward and embarrassing.


Finally I got the courage to do laser hair removal on my legs and bikini area. With a total of 6-8 treatment sessions for each area I have little to no hair left. Makeup Tricks That Will Make Your Eyes Look Amazing

Remember those days others have assumed you were either very tired or very sick just because you had a face that lacked makeup. I understand that we are sometimes in a rush in the morning, but it is possible to do an everyday look without spending too much time on your face. I am going to share with you a few makeup tricks that will make your eyes look amazing without doing a full on glam look. And you already know I am ballin' on a budget so I will be using the latest eye products from Maybelline which can all be found at your local Walmart store. (Oh hello affordable and effective makeup, be prepared to be amazed!)



Conceal Dark Circles: First things first, hide those designer bags under your eyes aka the dark circles. I am using Maybelline's Master Conceal by FaceStudio and let me tell you it works wonders. This concealer masks your eye circles and gives you a youthful glow. When applying concealer, make sure you are patting the product on because one this area is very sensitive and you want to avoid wrinkles, and two you don't want to waste the product by rubbing it all off.



Give Your Brows Some Definition: Some people have been investing an eye brow kits that range from $30-50 or even more, but the Maybelline Brow Drama Pro Palette includes a wax sculptor, shadow filler and highlighter all for under $10. You can sculpt your brows by applying the wax in short strokes to draw in the hair where needed. You would then apply the colored powder using an angle brush to shade and fill in your brows. Then you would finish off with the highlighter on your brow bone to accentuate the shape.



Lengthen Your Lashes: If your eyes aren't going to blink uncontrollably like mine, then curling your lashes before you apply mascara is known to lift your lashes so they stand out more. Now on to my technique to applying mascara in which I will be using Maybelline's Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara. It's important to swipe the mascara from root to end to make sure the product is applied fully to your lashes. You are also going wiggle the wand at the roots to make sure your brush combs through every lash. Allow the mascara to dry then apply second coat using the same technique. I continue to add more coats of mascara until I have reached my desired length and volume.
