Doesn't matter what shape or size we are, I think we can all admit that putting on a swimsuit can make us a little insecure. Whether it's the tummy fat, the small boobs, the big arms, the cellulite, the pale skin, stretch marks, I mean the list can go on and on. But lets not focus on all the things we believe are flaws because it will eat us up inside and outside. I'll say this, my body isn't the same from 10 years ago or heck, even from 5 years ago. I am no longer a size zero and I find myself squeezing into a size small. Welcome to adulthood when your metabolism starts to slow down and you actually have to work out to stay slim.
Lately I have been shying away from two pieces and been opting for one piece swimsuits like this adorable floral piece from WET Swimwear. But if you follow me on snapchat then you know I have been trying out fun workouts and attempt to live a healthier lifestyle. So this post isn't about body shaming but more about self motivation because it's not easy. No I am not saying everyone needs to have a body like the cover of a fitness magazine, but instead of letting my insecurities steal my joy this summer, my goal is to try my best to ignore those critical thoughts and just flaunt my new curves. And of course to make better choices for a healthier and active lifestyle, but also grow my self confidence.
