WHY I LOVE THE LOOK: Not a lot of men are daring enough to rock the color blocking trend. But as you can see Kanye West definitely pulled off the colorful ensemble. It seems like turquoise and orange are two out of three colors the fashionistas are mixing together. Are there any other males willing to try this trend or are you fellas just going to pass?

Fashion Trend : Color Blocking.

Color blocking is one of the hottest new trends for the season. Color blocking is when one combines the use of two or more solid colors in an outfit. It can include monotone, bright colors, muted colors, contrasting and complimentary colors. Clothes, shoes, handbags and accessories can all be put together to make a color block outfit. Don’t be shy to experiment, just don't wear more than 3-4 colors at the same time. The colors blue, red and orange may sound weird to you but can be pulled off if worn properly. What is a summer without bright colors?

Outfit of the Day : Black and Yellow, Black and Yellow .

What I Wore : A yellow tank with lace sleeves (Forever 21), high-waist gray harem pants (MadRag), Black Belt (Papaya Clothing), Black Booties (Agaci) and a yellow clutch (MadRag).

Summary : Yeah, uh huh, you know what it is.. black and yellow, black and yellow.. and some gray as well. This is a casual business outfit, if your job does not allow tank tops try wearing a cropped cardigan or blazer over to cover up.

Male Fashion At The 2011 BET Awards

You already seen my previous post on the female fashion at 2011 BET Awards... now lets see what the fellas had to offer...


Diddy is well known for his all white parties.. so of course Dirty Money decided to wear all white with a hint of black. And I personally think it is very sexy GQ look!


Do you have Bieber Fever? Denim vest and jackets are trending this season. Bieber is rocking a denim vest layered over a black tee with a colorful print handkerchief hanging out the pocket of his vest. Bieber got to announce an award with Nicki Minaj and I don't think this soon to be 18 year old can handle all her curves...

This is the vest Kevin Hart was making fun of.. not sure why Busta chose to wear this at the awards.. not one of the best dressed but nice bling bling!


An all black outfit can go a long way.. if worn correctly. NeYo def rocked the all black very well.. even if he has an "alien head" as Kevin Hart joked.. the black fedora compliments his style. Also.. what are your thoughts of wearing religious jewelery for fashion?


Shout out to whoever styled Kevin Hart that evening, they did a very good job. This is one of the many outfits Kevin wore that night. Even though he is wearing a suit he made it casual with the t-shirt and sneakers.


Diggy Simmons is growing up so fast. This little kid did a wonderful job during his Copy n Paste performance during the Pre Show. Who knew this Simmons kid had those moves? This outfit just screams out swag, he is wearing a white biker jacket over a black fitted tee, black pants, and high top sneakers.


Actor and Comedian DeRay Davis is wearing an olive blazer over a black v neck tee, with destroyed jeans and olive high top sneakers. This is an outfit I can see most guys trying to rock..

Female Fashion At The 2011 BET Awards

The BET Awards took place Sunday evening in L.A. hosted by Actor and Comedian Kevin Hart. Not only is this a big night in the music industry, but a fly fashion show on the red carpet. Lets take a look on what your favorite females were wearing that night...


How cute is Willow Smith rocking a classic tee of her dad aka The Fresh Prince? This little girl is not afraid to try new things in the fashion world. She is wearing colorful knee high socks with black and gold dazzling combat boots. She brought out some color with the red jacket contrasting against the yellow t-shirt.


Its Barbie B*tches... Nicki Minaj is wearing a form fitting pink body con dress with abstract pattern tights and black booties. This Barbie Doll is rocking her new hairdo that Lil Mama claims she (Nicki) "swagga jacked" her style.


Lala is wearing a a metallic dress that defines her curves that these boys cannot handle. She wore black caged heels and styled her hair in a high top bun.


Model Toccara is getting skinnier by the minute. I don't think she is a plus size model any more. She is wearing a vibrant colored sequined dress and paired it off with some peeped toe black pumps.


The lovely Kelly Rowland is wearing a fuchsia colored dress with ruffling detailing running diagonally. She paired it off with some beige heels and diamond accessories. She had a nice outfit on for the red carpet, but her performance outfit looked more like a church outfit then a "motivational" outfit..


The beautiful Alicia Keys is rocking a messy fish tail side braid, a sheer black tank, high-waist black trousers, with a white blazer and zebra print shoes. She adds a hint of red on her lips. I absolutely love her outfit and see myself rocking this.


Another one of my favorite outfits is the one Misss Kerriii Babbbbyy is wearing. A strapless purple top with a sweetheart neckline with high-waist black harem pants. She also adds a turquoise colored necklace with her Wonder Woman bracelets as Nick Cannon calls them.


Rocsi Diaz is wearing what I would call a "Flinstone" dress with gold strappy heels and gold accessories; but it is cute nonetheless. And I doubt the so called thief found this at Wet Seal.


Actress Joyful Drake is wearing an elegant white gown with a hint of red on her lips and the rose she is carrying. With her hair curled and pinned to the side and that COLGATE smile this doll is looking fabulous!

Outfit of the Day : A Bouquet of GREY Flowers .

What I Wore : A white scoop neck tee(Papaya Clothing) with bodycon floral skirt(MadRag) with a black waist belt and my infamous black booties.

Summary : Its a cute outfit that can be worn to a party/club. It is simple and casual and that is what I love about it. I have worn this skirt before with a black crop top. What I enjoy most about skirts is that they can be worn with many different tops.

Outfit of the Day : Who Wears Short Shorts ?

What I Wore : A simple black v-neck tee(Forever 21) with destroyed shorts (Papaya Clothing). I dressed the outfit up a bit by wearing snake skin shoes(Forever 21) and rusted gold accessories(Forever 21) with an ivory braided handbag(Papaya Clothing) that matches with the snake print shoes.

Summary : I feel like a Plain Jane when I just wear a simple t shirt, so I had to add some style and wear some funky shoes. Accessories go a long way.. what do you gals think of my choice of jewelery?

Outfit of the Day : Thrifting 90s.

What I Wore : A colorful boxed top (Thrift Store) cinched at the waist with a thin brown braided belt (Papaya Clothing),black jeans (Ross), brown cutout booties( WetSeal) and gold and brown accessories.

Summary : You might recognize this top from my Thrift Store Haul. As I mentioned in the video, I cinched the blouse at the waist to create some shape to the top. Stay tuned for another Thrift Store Haul Video...
