How to Wear a Chambray Shirt

I must say that a chambray shirt is definitely a closet staple. The fabric is so versatile and can be paired with so many different pieces. And the good thing is that it can be worn during any season. I am going to show you how I styled a light chambray blouse in 3 different summer outfits, let me know in the comments below which look is your favorite.


What I Wore: Chambray Button Up Blouse (Marshall's), Black Seamless Tank (Madrag), Khaki Tie Shorts (Madrag) and Red Sneakers (Forever 21).

1. Wear a chambray shirt over your outfit. You can keep the blouse open and use it as cardigan/ jacket to layer some clothes.



What I Wore: Chambray Button Up Blouse (Marshall's), Frayed Blue Jeans (Express), and Beige Ankle Strap Heels (Aldo Shoes).

2. The denim-on-denim trend has made a major hit in the fashion industry. I mixed light and dark washes and brought out some bold red lips. Feel free to use the same wash if you'd like, it's up to you, either works.

3. Tuck it into shorts with a fun print such as polka dots, stripes, in my case, animal print. The chambray blouse is known to be used as a neutral, therefore mixing this top with a print makes the perfect match.
