As some of you may know I was born in Queens, NY and make a a trip there every chance I get to visit family and friends. This past trip, I went for a wedding and decided why not share some cool spots for you guys to check out the next time you are in New York City. Not only will I be sharing a major tourist attraction but also a hip restaurant and beauty salon you might want to stop by in Manhattan. I'll also mention that there is art in every corner and the buildings are beautiful so be ready to snap away your whole trip.

BEAUTY
As I mentioned before the purpose of my trip was to attend a wedding. I wanted to make sure I looked my best so I reached out to Maria Bonita Salon & Spa, located in SoHo, NYC. They are best known for offering traditional Brazilian beauty treatments such as a manicure where they remove the cuticles to make the surface of the nail completely flat. As for hair, I opted for half up half down hairstyle with braids and wavy hair. Oh and might I add that the second day hair was still fab!

FOOD
Trust me when I tell you that Atwood NY Kitchen and Bar Room is a must! I mean if you don't want to take my word for it, Time Out New York has awarded them winner of the best mac n' cheese. Every bite has this amazing flavor that will just delight your taste buds. I went for Sunday Brunch and got a chance to indulge in a waffle sandwich, avocado waffle, baked eggs and of course the mac n' cheese all while sippin' on some delicious sangria. Located in the heart of Midtown East, they also have game nights and live bands playing some of your favorite old school hits.

TOURIST ATTRACTION
Once in a while I tend to do tourists things such as visit the Statue of Liberty. Our adventure started off at Battery Park where we then took a ferry to get up close and personal with Lady Liberty. The views to and from and of course on Jersey City was just beautiful. We also had a chance to visit Ellis Island and take a little tour to learn more about U.S. History at the Immigration Museum.

  2. I highly recommend this place if you are thinking about to find a place for your wedding. We had our wedding party yesterday at this place and it was such a wonderful event. The ceremony site at Los angeles wedding venues is classy, the dining area is amazing, and the view is just icing on the cake.

  3. The San Francisco Florist and her dynamic team are highly responsive, attentive to detail, and friendly. I've had the pleasure of ordering three separate arrangements from them and the arrangements are consistently loved.
