Lynnette Joselly: Lilac Summer Fashion Dress

Lilac Summer Fashion Dress

For some reason, the lilac color to me just says mature and sophisticated, and I believe this dress is exactly that. I have teamed up with Banana Republic to showcase their petite collection. I am 5'5" and don't consider myself short but I am kind of slim and noticed their regular sizes run a little big. For example the size 2 was too tiny and the size 4 was not form fitting so when I tried on the 4P, it was perfect!

But now back to the color trend, I am loving this full lilac outfit featuring the Button-Front Crepe Pocket Dress, with clean and simple accessories. Since the neckline area is already busy with the dress's buttons, I decided to wear a dainty gold bar necklace. It can be used for layering, but for this outfit you don't want the accessories to take away from the dress.

As for the shoes, while I would normally wear minimalist heels, I didn't want to play it too safe. Which is why I opted for the strappy sandals with a fun snake print, now if that's just too much for you, I would just recommend to stick to natural colors when dealing with lilac.

  3. Very sophisticated! I love the look. I'm actually on the smaller side, too (5'3"), so this is a great option. And that color is beautiful with your skin tone. Looking forward to future post, xo!
