It's been said that working away from home helps freelancers and entrepreneurs succeed. Which is why I have teamed up with Bar Works in Wynwood Miami to share some inspiring ideas to a create a productive work area in honor of National Cubicle Day. This creative work space has opened up locations in a few major cities and is quickly changing the way the self-employed spend their work day. Although yes, an office away from home comes at a cost, there are still so many benefits such as complimentary beverages and snacks and unlimited printing, copying, and scanning. Oh and I should also add networking opportunities because you never know who you might meet in a room full of entrepreneurs.
Using Aromatherapy to Create a Relaxing Office Environment
The first secret into making your office space ultra productive is by using aromatherapy to create a relaxing environment. As a small business owner of BellaKurls stress has become a part of my daily life. It isn't easy wearing multiple hats so I am definitely always interested in natural ways to relax and stay sane. There are several ways to obtain the benefits of aromatherapy for relieving stress with one being Lica Cole's Ayurvedic Smoothing Silk. Treat yourself to a brand new way to moisturize your skin with essential oils and organic ingredients to energize and elevate your mood. After rubbing a small portion of the product in your hands, cup your hands over your face and inhale deeply several times. Other aroma applications such as Lifetherapy's Pulse Point Oil Perfume can also be used to provide an ongoing source of scent throughout your workday. Just dab a small amount on your pulse points, behind ears, bottom of throat, wrist, inside elbow, and behind the knees to enjoy a long lasting fragrance.
Plants in Offices Increase Happiness and Productivity
This is less of an office supply and more of a necessity for a cool office vibe that helps reduce stress and increase productivity. Thanks to Costa Farms, Bar Works was able to add some greenery to their office space which instantly made the work area appear more calming and simply a nicer place to be when plants are present. When picking the right plants for an office environment due to certain situations such as air conditioning and the need of direct sunlight you might want to get some recommendations from their team of Certified Horticulturis. But just to name a few common office plants there are aloe, spider plants, cactus, and succulents.
Unique and Cool Office Supplies That'll Revitalize Your Workplace
A bad case of the Mondays can’t get you down if you have cute office supplies. Papyrus is a stationary company that has so many cute options including notebooks, pencils, calendars, mugs and so much more. They might even spark a bit of creativity within you while you work because cute office supplies are fun to look at. Especially their Black Gem Topped Pencils that are topped with a variety of colorful gems in pinks, purples, blues and greens. Just make sure you aren't getting distracted by the sparkle.
So whether you work from home, a cubicle, or want to become a member of the Bar Works office space, these tips can be helpful for a variety of work environments. What are somethings you guys do to improve workspace productivity?
