Waist Training actually goes back hundreds of years ago where women would wear corsets to shape their mid-section. The goal of the shape-wear is to create an hour-glass shape. This trend has been buzzing lately because of the usage from celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Snookie, Khloe Kardashian, Ciara and more. Some of these ladies actually wear their corsets for at least 12 hours a day (sometimes even more). If you are going to waist train, it's very important that you can actually still breathe, so make sure it's not laced too tight. Just in case you ladies were thinking of joining the waist training wagon I wanted to share some pros and cons before you get snatched!
Pros of Waist Training:
- Helps create a small waist (an hourglass shape) Improves posture and back support Makes you feel sexy
Cons of Waist Training:
- Can cause trouble breathing if not worn correctly Can cause muscles to weaken or reshape your bones if done in excess/improperly Can cause chronic pain and bruising if done in excess/improperly

At the end of the day, the most important thing here is a healthy body. Although we also want "the perfect body", ladies please put your health first. It is perfectly fine to use a waist trainer for a leaner and slimmer physique, however, be cautious of how its worn and how long you wear it for to avoid any bodily damage. Also note, a waist trainer should be used as an addition to your regular workout routine to help enhance your body.
