When you have a vision in your head that just can't be bought in stores or you just want to add a personal touch to your home, that's when DIY projects come handy. There is just something about the arts and crafts aisle in Walmart that gets my creative juices flowing. Today I am going to show you guys a simple yet chic way to spice up your home office with frames, customized cards, and labels. This is your chance to bring your Pinterest boards to life!
To start off with you are going to need the following:
- Premium Cardstock Paper
- Postcards Template Paper
- Label Sheets
- Computer or Mobile Device
- Photo Editing Software
Step 1: Design your idea. You can create your image on your computer or mobile device using a photo editing software. Whether it's text, image or both, you have full creative control of your design. You also have the option to scan photos with the HP All-in-One Printer Remote mobile app on your phone and make print copies of some your favorite selfies. In my case I decided to create motivational quotes to be framed in my home office. As well as customized "Thank You" cards and labels.
Step 2: Print your craft. Don't worry about transferring to your desktop because with the HP Deskjet 3752 Printer you can easily print from your smart phone, tablet or laptop through a wifi network or usb cable. It is the world’s smallest all-in-one printer that actually fits well with my desk decor, so I didn't have to worry about the printer taking up a lot of space. I used the same printer to print the frames, postcards and sticker labels and as you can see although the printer is half the size of most it still produces vivid color ink and high quality documents.
Step 3: Finalizing your DIY crafts. I created and printed custom DIY printable framed art consisting of motivational quotes to place around my home office to really push me to get work done. You can either pin them up on your wall with a thumbtack or frame them. I used a gold frame I had laying around to match my color theme. As for the cards, I am always sending out "Thank You" and "Congrats" cards so why not add a little personal touch and signing them off with my signature already printed on them. I printed them on a standard postcard size so I don't have to worry about special sized envelopes.
Step 4: Time to use your DIY crafts. After hanging up your new frames and sending out those postcards lets put these labels to use! Custom labels are great for organizing or even just for some fun decoration. You can either print sticker labels for jars containing paper clips, pens, etc. Or you can print labels to seal envelopes. So instead of buying them you can now create your own for whatever occasion. That way both the printer and supplies allow you to stick within budget. The new HP DeskJet 3752 All-in-One Printer is available at Walmart for just $69!
So there you have it! Fun and easy Do-It-Yourself prints that can be created at the comfort of your own home or dorm for those going back to school. Oh and don't forget to give yourself a pat on the back when your guests ask where to purchase those new DIY home decor items.
