Sometimes I try to keep life simple and carry a cute little crossbody bag but to be honest it doesn't always fit my everyday essentials which then just throws me off balance. This is what you call the curse of the big purse. A big purse pretty much carries around my entire life so it can be a bit difficult to downsize. No, it's not always easy trying to find your car keys in your bag while digging through a bunch of receipts and loose change but I wanted to share with you a few essential things every woman should have in her purse at all times. I have teamed up with Simply Summer’s Eve to prepare you ladies for those "you never know" moments.

A Makeup Bag. First things first, I always like to be prepared so a makeup bag is necessary for me. As much as I would like to carry my full makeup collection of foundation, concealer, eyeliner, lipsticks, eyeshadow and the list goes on. I try to at least keep on hand the basics for touch-ups throughout the day such as mascara, powder foundation, eyeliner and lipstick. I normally carry two lipsticks; a natural pout for the day and a bold shade for the night. Have to have options just in case last minute plans pop up.

Hair Ties and Clips. I have big naturally curly hair so there have been times my hair tie snapped on me while trying to redo my ponytail. It was not a fun experience which is why I now carry extra hair ties and hair clips with me at all times.

Nail Tools. Just in case a nail chips I carry a nail filer and extra nail polish.

Hand Sanitizer. I can be a bit of a germophobe but carrying a mini hand sanitizer has saved my life so many times. From pumping gas to touching dirty restaurant menus, and many other reasons, you should protect yourself from these terrible germs by carrying your own hand sanitizer.

Feminine Hygiene Wipes. Do yourself a favor and carry Simply Summer’s Eve® Cleansing Cloths to prevent any unpleasant odors down there. It is the perfect solution for intimate hygiene, wherever you are and whatever your activity is. You will be left feeling clean and refreshed. The individual packets are easy to carry and convenient to use when ever you step out the house for work, shopping, dancing, exercising, etc.

Pads or Tampons. Accidents are bound to happen. There is nothing worse than being caught off guard by your period! Which is why I recommend to keep some feminine products in your bag for when it arrives. Don't wait hours before you have a chance to hop in the shower and it's going to be nearly impossible to wash your privates in a public bathroom. This is when the Simply Summer’s Eve® Cleansing Cloths come extra handy during that time of the month.

Smell Good Stuff. Playing off all the good hygiene products, I want to make sure my whole body smells good. So I always carry deodorant just in case I get a lil' sweaty. Some extra mint just in case I ate something funky. As well as a mini perfume and hand/body lotion.

Tech Stuff. I mean do I even need to list your cellphone since it's most likely in your hand refreshing your Instagram feed to see any new posts and how many likes you got so far. With that being said, you are going to want to stay charged up so bring either a portable charger or an extra charger to plug in somewhere. I do live in Miami so a usb mini phone fan has been helpful on those hot summer days.
