Since the weather has been pretty hot these days, I will be showing you how to recreate this easy and trendy hairstyle to keep your hair out of your face using the John Frieda Brilliant Brunette® Visibly Brighter™ hair products. The chic and casual half-up top knot bun has been the latest celebrity hair trend in which I honestly think was created by the laziest girl in the world. The way I see it is if you don't have the time to do a full head of hair, all you have to do is put half of it in a bun and call it a day. Keep reading to find out how to master this effortlessly-cool hairstyle.
If you remember in a previous blog post I introduced you guys to the John Frieda Rethink Colour collection and today I have decided to actually go a little lighter using the Brilliant Brunette® Visibly Brighter™ in-shower treatment. Please note all items can be purchased at your local Walmart, but I have noticed they have been selling out quickly so if you can't find it in stores, no worries, it can also be purchased online at Walmart.com. Since I ended up using a sulfate shampoo, my roots have lightened up a bit so I decided to concentrate the Brilliant Brunette® Visibly Brighter™ In-Shower Treatment mainly on my ends to even out my hair color.
After leaving the in-shower treatment on for 5 minutes, I then rinsed off and followed with Brilliant Brunette® Visibly Brighter™ Subtle Lightening Shampoo and Subtle Lightening Conditioner which will help to subtly boost the brightness of your brunette shade daily. After, I let my curls air dry or you can use a diffuser to speed up the process and then proceed to styling. All you are really going to need is an elastic hair band and a few bobby pins to create the top knot half down hairstyle.
If you are looking to switch up your ordinary top knot then the half bun will be your new favorite hairstyle. The good thing is that you can make a top knot half bun work for any occasion and any hair type or length. Let's get started! (1) The first step is to determine how much hair you want on the bottom half and how big you want your bun to be. (2) Then you separate the top half and bottom half to your desired volume and then secure the ponytail with a hair tie. (3) If you want to give your bun a fuller look you can tease the ponytail a bit before twisting it around the base. (4) Then secure the bun in a place with a few bobby pins. (5) Lastly, I like to tug on the bun lightly to adjust it to the shape I want.
Pretty easy, right? This is the perfect hairstyle for a casual day look or shall I say "a lazy day". I hope you’ll try this half up top knot tutorial soon!
Your hair looks great, and I love the highlights. The half up bun looks fantastic on you - I still need to figure out how to do a half up style that works with my hair. I always end up using too much and my hair "triangles" out and looks weird :) #client
ReplyDeleteI love that hairstyle! Perfect for those hot summer days when you need your hair out of your face!
ReplyDeleteOk this is super cute! You make me wanna leave my hair curly ;)
ReplyDeleteNot a fan of this hairstyle. It looks like a two year old did their own hair.
ReplyDeleteThe way I see it is if I don't have time to finish styling my hair I can put half of it in a bun and get away with it since its the latest craze.
DeleteInteresting post, it was nice to look at the photos, especially on your emotional state :) It's a pity that I did not see any difference, what happened before and after. Perhaps this is something simple. I was recently here http://elstile.com/down-hairstyles, seen the difference between before and after. It was immediately noticeable. I advise you to visit this place and you will understand everything.
ReplyDeleteWe must to keep care about our hairs because it’s the beauty of someone
